About our Church
The people of Faith come from a wide variety of backgrounds and ages, all united by our shared love for Christ and desire to grow in our faith. You’ll find younger couples and families worshiping alongside older generations — as we like to say, it’s like one large extended family! We seek to create an atmosphere of love and community within our walls, so that together we can bless the city of Spencer and beyond.
Our Mission Statement:
Inviting all People to Faith – Come and Worship … Go and Work
We not only want to be intentional about inviting people to Faith, this church, but we also desire to cultivate an environment where everyone can grow in their faith in God. That mission is twofold – we first unite for worship, prayer, reading God’s Word, and growing in faith. We also then strive to live out our faith in our daily lives, and serve the needs of others in Christian love.
We come together each Sunday at 9:00am to praise God, reflect on the Word, and share in the sacraments. Our services are a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, as we utilize both well-loved hymns and newer contemporary praise songs throughout each service. We offer a children’s message for our younger participants, and you can always expect a rich, Bible-based message that will challenge and grow your faith. On the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month, we also offer open communion and invite anyone believing in Jesus as their Savior to partake.
We are affiliated with the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) denomination, which is rooted in the rich traditions of the Lutheran faith. Our beliefs are centered on the grace of God, salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, and the authority of the Bible. We regularly repeat the words of the Apostles’ Creed and believe these words hold truth that are still applicable today.
