As we strive to support each other and recover from the flood, this page has been designed to help those of you who are wondering how to help.
Thank you for being the hands of feed of Christ. Together with our Heavenly Father there will be restoration in our land.
Photos of the damage and cleanup process are displayed in a gallery at the bottom of this page, and will be updated periodically.
Financial Donations
To financially support Faith Lutheran Church as we work to restore and replace items damaged by the flood, a Flood Relief Fund has been established.
Thrivent members are eligible to apply for a Thrivent Action Team card to help pay for supplies as we rebuild. Each Thrivent member is eligible for 2 (two) $250 Thrivent cards per year. The link to apply online can be found here. Thrivent cards can be mailed to the church or dropped in the Blessing Box for Paul Behrens to use when purchasing supplies.
Physical Donations
A list of items lost in the flood and needing replaced is being compiled. However, as most of the building is still under construction, we will not have a place to house donations for some time. We will update more here when we know more.
Restoration Efforts
Thanks to the many hours of work put in by volunteers, the building has had items gone through and saved or tossed, four feet of drywall taken down all around the church, electrical and water restored, and AC units running to continue drying out the building and keeping humidity levels as low as possible. When there is work to be done where a team of people would be helpful, scheduled work days will be listed here.
Saturday, September 21: Prepare for drywall installation and clean areas around the church. Bring screw guns and cleaning supplies. RSVP to Paul Behrens at 712-240-6000.
