And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.
Hebrews 10:24
At Faith Lutheran Church, we partner with the following people and organizations to support their work for the Gospel. You can read a brief description of each mission partner below, and a link is provided if you wish to visit their website to learn more.
ATLAS of Spencer
Priority Partner
Atlas is a non-profit, faith-based mentoring organization that strives to help the hurting, equip believers, and unite the community. As a mission partner of Faith, this organization receives funding and prayers to further their work.
Our donations empower ATLAS to help people from our community who are struggling with problems like addictions, relationships, depression or any life trial. Staff provide counseling, temporary babysitting, transportation to work and appointments, and mentoring.
Falls Community Church
Priority Partner
Falls Community Church in Sioux Falls is a sister church to Faith Lutheran. Their members came as refugees from different countries in Africa. The church joined LCMC in 2011 and purchased their building in 2014.
This is the first South Sudanese church in North America. They are so proud and excited to have their building. "We give God the honor and the Glory for His wonderful work for us as refugees. We came to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and it became our home so that we can preach and teach the Words of God to our children at large." Faith is planning to work on a mission project to help repair their building.
Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps
Priority Partner
Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps (IOLBC) is a Bible camp that seeks to 'know Jesus Christ and make Christ known to all'. They offer a variety of youth and family camps through the summer, and host youth recharges, adult retreats, travel camps and more throughout the rest of the year.
In addition to supporting the camp directly, Faith also offers up to a 50% discount on registration fees for church members, and we also encourage our confirmation youth to spend a week or weekend up at camp.
International Messengers - Josh and Whitney Smith
Priority Partner
International Messengers believe that the spiritual revival of the Church is a primary key to effectively reaching this world with the love of Christ. They are partners with the local church to equip and send people into the world with the truth of the Gospel.
Our representatives are Josh and Whitney Smith and their family. They work with refugee children at the school in Pawel, Uganda. They also train and support leaders in refugee camps in South Sudan. Our donations support not only this family of missionaries but also a child in Pawel.
Lutheran Asian Ministries
Priority Partner
Lutheran Asian Ministries works in southeast Asia with local churches to train, equip, and empower leaders to spread the gospel. They establish relationships with the governments and the church leaders in these countries.
Out donations are sent through Pastor Tom Lovan of Morningside Lutheran in Sioux City to build churches, educated leaders, drill wells, and help the poor in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar.
World Mission Prayer League
Priority Partner
World Mission Prayer League (WMPL) is a Lutheran community committed to know Christ, pray for His kingdon, and share the gospel and themselves with those who don't know Him. Their passion is to evangelize the world wherever people don't know Jesus as their savior.
The World Mission Prayer League has workers in 20 countries throughout the world along with a team dedicated to supporting the work. WMPL does not ask for funds directly but rather prays for God to supply the necessary means to send missionaries around the world. Our donations go directly to the Ekka family who came to Faith to share about their work in India.
Youth With A Mission - Marlee and Ashish Ingale
Priority Partner
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a nondenominational mission organization that trains people to share their faith through many ways such as music, creative arts, volunteering, and sports camps. Their purpose is to know God and make Him known.
Faith Lutheran is supporting Marlee and Ashish Ingale at YWAM as they shares their faith and music with people who don't know Jesus as their Savior. Marlee spent a year at Faith as our worship director while she was working at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps. She has participated in a Discipleship Training Course and traveled to Scotland as her home base.
Friends of Madagascar Missions
2025 Designated Gift Recipient
Friends of Madagascar Mission works with the Malagasy Church to support the programs that they deem most important. They are currently raising funds to keep girls in school because of the high rate of child marriages.
100% of our donations are sent to the church in Malagasy to fund Ejeda Hospital nutrition program because patients have to supply their own food, sharing the gospel in the prison, or training evangelists for rural preaching.
Jacob Weeks
2025 Designated Gift Recipient
Jacob is beginning the steps to become a certified pilot mechanic to work with a mission organization flying missionaries and supplies to remote regions mainly accessible via air travel. He is currently working on getting his certification and selecting the mission organization he will serve with.
Jacob served as our Technology director for 2 years while also working at Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps.
LCMC National and Iowa District
2025 Designated Gift Recipient
The LCMC (Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ) Synod is an association of congregations who are working together to go and make disciples of all nations. As a mission partner of Faith, our synod office receives funding throughout the year.
Our donations are used for salaries, travel expenses, producing informational materials, hosting the annual gathering, loan support for new pastors, and new church planting.
Multi Church Community Assistance Fund
Special Financial Gift
The Multi-Church Community
Assistance Fund creates centralized funding for Spencer churches and designated community sites to
screen applicants for assistance with housing costs and utility bills.
Operational Serve International
Special Financial Gift
The mission of Operation Serve is to motivate and mobilize concerned Christians to assist in the work of God among the poor and destitute in underserved and unreached places. OSI seeks to strenthen existing ministries in their presentation of the Gospel of Christ by communicating the love of God in both Word and Deed.
Faith has sent a short term mission team to work with OSI in Mexico City in 2016 and 2023. God empowered them to help people see by fitting glasses, dispensing medical and dental care, giving haircuts, distributing food and toys, and sharing God's love with them. OSI follows up with all those who give their lives to Christ and connects them with a local church to increase their faith.
